Here’s why: the Iowa Department of Natural Resources has mandated that the City of Norway dramatically retrofit our city-wide water distribution system, to bring it into compliance with State Water Pressure Minimums… and to say the least, the project will be expensive. Here’s how: To help fund our project, the City has applied for a CDBG block grant through the East Central Iowa Council of Governments for $500,000, but the very first step in completing this process requires the City to distribute, and collect, a household income survey of randomly selected addresses. The survey is anonymous, it consists of 4 simple questions and will only require two minutes of your time to fill out. Your answers are so imperative to the potential success of the grant project that if your household originally receive a Survey, but you didn’t complete and return it to the City, a city representative will need to stop by to deliver a new one to you.
